China 2008 GDP Growth Seen At 10.8 Pct, CPI At 4.5%

China's gross domestic product is expected to expand 10.8 pct in 2008, the State Information Center (SIC) said in a report in the official Shanghai Securities News. The consumer price index (CPI) is expected to rise 4.5 pct this year, the State Information Center said. It said fiscal revenue is expected to climb 20 pct for 2008, while fiscal expenses are likely to rise 14 pct. Overall investment for the year is seen expanding 24 pct. Energy consumption per unit of GDP is expected to fall 4.4 pct for 2008.

Total foreign trade is seen growing 20 pct. The State Information Center also said M2 broad money supply growth will rise about 16 pct this year.
