Mixed Day For Farm Goods
MUMBAI: Bullion turnover on MCX amounted to Rs 1,432.39 crore and consisted of gold contracts worth Rs 1,101.16 crore and silver contracts of Rs 331.23 crore. Gold contracts, including gold mini, varied between a fall of Rs 44 and gain of Rs 44 per 10 gm. Gold February traded down 0.42% at Rs 10,332 per 10 gm.
Silver contracts, including silver mini, fluctuated between a loss of Rs 233 and gain of Rs 123 per kg. Silver March contract receded 0.24% to Rs 19,312 per kg.
In the base metals segment, copper contracts turnover was Rs 429.36 crore. The February delivery contract was down by 1.11 % at Rs 262.95 per kg.
Turnover of all zinc contracts amounted to Rs 211.23 crore. Zinc December contract receded 1.40 % to Rs 95.40 per kg. Turnover of all nickel contracts was Rs 49.07 crore.
Turnover on MCX at 5pm amounted to Rs 3,392.02 crore.
Mixed movement was noticed in farm commodities and NCDEX registered a turnover of Rs 1,612 crore with active trade in soya bean, guar seed, soya oil and rape mustard seed.
Soyabean closed up at Rs 1,855.55 per quintal with a turnover of Rs 515 crore, soya oil closed up at Rs 526 per 10 kg posting a turnover of Rs 199 crore and rape mustard seed closed down at Rs 453.95 per 20 kg registering a turnover of Rs 141 crore. Guar seed closed down at Rs 1,607 per quintal with a turnover of Rs 176 crore, chana closed up at Rs 2,202 per quintal with a turnover of Rs 78 crore. Turmeric closed up at Rs 2,376 per quintal.
