Kottayam: The rubber prices declined anticipating better arrivals in the days ahead as rains subsided giving way to bright sunny days since the last two days. RSS 4 fell to Rs 97.50 from Rs 98 and Rs 98.50 a kg respectively at Kottayam and Kochi. The rubber futures continued to remain weak quoting the November contract at Rs 98 (99.68) a kg on MCX. Spot prices were (Rs/kg): RSS-4: 97.50 (98); RSS-5: 95 (95.50); ungraded: 92.75 (93.50); ISNR 20: 93.50 (94.50) and latex 60 per cent: 63.50 (63.50).
