Mixed Trend In Spot Rubber

Kottayam: Spot rubber showed a mixed trend on Friday. RSS 4 closed flat at Rs 97.50 and Rs 98 a kg respectively at Kottayam and Kochi since the buyers were unwilling to enhance their quotes though the international indices finished in a bullish mode.

The undercurrent appeared weak as ungraded rubber and RSS 5 lost marginally on buyer resistance. The volumes were dull. The rubber futures turned better on NMCE.

Spot prices were (in Rs/kg): RSS-4: 97.50 (97.50); RSS-5: 95 (95.50); ungraded: 92.50 (93); ISNR 20: 93.50 (93.50) and Latex 60%: 63.50 (63.50).
